To advertise your video:
  • Go to your YouTube Video Manager
  • Select the video you want to advertise
  • Choose the upside down triangle next to the Edit button
  • Select Promote 
  • Click the "Create A Campaign" button
  • Select your budget
  • Select your campaign duration
  • >> While you can technically start with as small as one (1) dollar for one (1) day, I recommend at least $10 for over seven days (i.e. one week) and measure your results
  • Choose your Audience
  • >> While the default is Everyone, your video advertisement will generally be more effective if you focus your advertisement on users who fit your audience profile (e.g. in United States, interested in business education) 
  • Craft your Ad
  • >> Target your advertisement's language to your audience's profile and craft the language to convey the benefits of watching your video. For example, if you are advertising a legal education conference, you might choose your headline to be "Attn: Legal Info Pros!" and the description as, "The premiere educational & networking event for you"
  • Click the next button which will take you to your Google AdWords account
  • Confirm your advertising campaign's details
  • Watch the YouTube views come in!
